ISGW Facilities Usage

The Executive committee of the ISGW is fully responsible for its day to day affairs.

 

SOCIAL EVENTS

  • Community members are encouraged to hold personal/community programs in the Masjid. Following rules however, must be observed.
  • Prior written permission from the Executive committee is required. The committee reserves the right to refuse such a use without disclosing any reason.
  • A minimum of $50 (non-refundable) fee will be charged.
  • A refundable $100 security deposit will be required to meet the expenses of any repairs and cleaning.
  • Islamic behavior, especially Islamic dress code is to be strictly maintained during such programs.
  • Cleaning of the premises including prayer halls, kitchen, wudu area and bathrooms will be the responsibility of the user who will also have to pay for any cleaning expenses/damage incurred costing more than the deposit amount.
  • Nobody can stay in the Masjid overnight except on the occasion of an Aitikaf most common during the month of Ramadan, especially the last ten days announced by the Masjid committee. If the Tabligh Jamaat visiting the area wants to stay in the Masjid, the Executive committee must be informed.
  • Baby-sitting facilities are available for a nominal cost during social events. Parents are otherwise responsible for the behavior and safety of their children.

 

KEYS TO THE PREMISES

  • Only limited number of people will be issued the keys to the premises in order to facilitate opening of the Masjid for prayers. Access to a key can be denied without disclosing any reason. People possessing the key are required to lock the premises properly while leaving or to make sure that another person with a key is present.

 

MEDIA STATEMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS AND DISTRIBUTION OF WRITTEN MATERIAL

  • Only designated spokespersons can make statements to the media. Any statement made by a non-designated person may not reflect the views of ISGW.
  • The name of ISGW cannot be used by any person for any purpose without prior permission.
  • All announcements are to be made by persons designated by the executive committee. If an announcement is to be made, it should be handled over in writing to one of the members of the Executive Committee at least one day in advance.
  • No literature can be distributed for any purpose without prior permission.

  • The ISGW requires that any newsletter or information distributed on its premises does not contain any offensive or objectionable material, but the society does not take any liability or responsibility for the contents of such distribution. The material presented in any distribution may not reflect ISGW’s views.
  • The ISGW requires that any speech or talk delivered on its premises does not contain any offensive or objectionable material, but the Society does not any liability or responsibility for the contents of such a speech. The contents of any presentation may not reflect ISGW’s views.

 

PRAYERS AND ADAN

  • In Imam’s absence only designated persons can lead the prayers. The Adhān call to prayer will be recited by designated person at prescribed times of the day.

 

LIBRARY BOOKS

  • No one is permitted to take books out of the premises of the Society from the library.
  • Any complaint should be made with the members of the Executive Committee verbally or in writing. It is against the respect of the Masjid to speak loudly or scream on any issue of concern to you. Constructive suggestions from community members are always welcome but a decorum and observance of Islamic manners are essential.
